This document explains how Impulse Health for Android uses information to provide its general-wellness features.
The app measures a pulse estimate with the camera, shows wellness content and quizzes, and saves measurement history on this device. A randomly generated installation identity connects profile, feedback and membership services. Profile details can sync with the app's business server; saved measurements and quiz history are not uploaded. Some buttons may open another app or website at your request; those services follow their own notices.
Camera frames are processed during a measurement to estimate beats and related metrics; the frames are not saved as photos or videos. A result is added to the app's local SQLite history only when you choose to save it. The saved record can include its time, estimated heart rate, beat intervals, derived variability metrics, and a calculated heart score. Quiz answers are used to show a result in the current session; there is no account-based quiz history.
Android supplies the device's camera, local time, language, and notification controls so the app can show the right interface and schedule optional reminders. When the public configuration service is configured, the app sends its version, platform and interface language to check for updates and maintenance. That request does not include installation credentials or purchase tokens. The app does not request precise or approximate location permission and has no app-operated location collection feature.
The app creates an installation identity without email registration. If you fill in the personal-profile page, sex, age, height, weight, and unit choice are stored in private preferences on this device and submitted to the business server for profile synchronization. Age and a male/female reference selection can be used to calculate a heart score. If you choose “Other,” a separate reference selection may be requested; it does not change your profile sex. There is no account photo or email sign-up. Before purchasing, save the account recovery code in a private password manager. After reinstalling or changing devices, import that code in Settings → Membership Recovery to authenticate the original installation account and refresh its server-verified membership and profile. The code is an account credential, not a backup of measurements. Anyone holding it can access the linked account. It is shown only at your request; if you copy it, the system clipboard receives it. Do not share it or include it in feedback.
The app does not include an advertising SDK or read an advertising identifier for targeted ads. If advertising features are added, this policy will need to describe them.
The app does not include an in-app analytics SDK. Google Play supplies subscription prices, eligible offers and purchase information and handles checkout. To verify and maintain membership, the app sends a randomly generated installation identifier, installation authentication credentials, product identifiers and purchase tokens to the verification server. The server stores hashed installation credentials and verified subscription records, including account association, order identifier, status and expiry. Google Play handles its own data under its own terms.
The app asks for camera permission when measurement starts and may ask for notification permission if you opt into local heart-rate reminders. Reminders are scheduled around 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time. Submitting feedback sends the selected category, message and optional contact details to the business server. Redeeming a gift code sends that code to the server, which records its use and resulting membership entitlement for the installation identity.
The app sends installation authentication, profile synchronization, feedback, gift-code redemption and subscription verification data described above to its business service over HTTPS. Google Play sends subscription change notifications to that service. Saved measurement records and camera frames are not uploaded. A separately configured public service supplies version and maintenance information.
The app has no in-app process for transmitting your local health history to third parties in response to requests.
If you choose to open a knowledge source, store listing, or social-media link, Android hands the link to a browser or other app. The destination may handle information under its own policy. The app's Share App action shares a store-link message, not your measurement history.
You can edit your profile in Settings, revoke permissions in Android Settings, and turn local reminders off. There is no in-app history export or individual-record deletion. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local data, but does not delete server records or cancel a Play subscription. For access, correction or deletion of server-held data, use in-app Contact Us from the original or recovered account, or email phenonmenon8@gmail.com. We must verify account ownership before processing a request. Never send your recovery code, installation secret or full purchase token. Subscription cancellation remains available through Google Play.
The local profile is stored in Android app-private preferences and saved measurements in an app-private SQLite database. Business requests use HTTPS. Profile synchronization does not back up measurement history. The app declares system backup disabled; device-transfer behavior may vary by Android version and manufacturer. The database does not have app-level encryption, and no absolute security guarantee is made. Access to the device itself should be protected with Android's security controls.
The app is not designed or validated for children. Its age picker accepts ages 1–120 and is not an age-eligibility check. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use where appropriate.
We update this policy when our data practices change. The effective date is shown above. The public version is available at https://impulse-android-legal.pages.dev/legal/android/privacy-policy/privacy-policy.html. Material changes requiring consent will be presented before the affected processing begins.
Local records remain until you change them, clear app storage or uninstall; there is no automatic local retention period. Camera frames are not saved. Server-held profile, feedback and redemption records are retained for the associated service and handling requests; verified subscription records may also be needed for renewals, refunds, disputes and applicable record-keeping duties. You can request deletion through the contact route above. Records that must be retained for a specific obligation are restricted to that purpose. Other services control their own retention.
